Honor 9i getting Smart charge mode and April 2020 security patch v9.1.0.141 update

Honor has officially started rolling out the April 2020 security patch and Smart charge update based on EMUI 9.1 for the Honor 9i smartphone users. This update incorporates the Android security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system. It is recommended that you update as soon as possible. The Honor 9i EMUI 9.1.0.141 update size is 624MB.

This update improves system security using Android security patches.

Integrated Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security.

Smart Charging:

Reserves battery health by adapting to your charging routine. Charging may be paused to delay charging your device to 100% (Full) until you need it. Huawei Smart Charge Mode Protects the battery from aging during overnight charging.

Activate Smart Charge: Go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings > Smart Charge.

This update is currently rolling out in China.

How to check the latest update?

Via phone settings option: Go to the Settings -> ‘System’ -> ‘Software update’ -> ‘Check for updates’ -> ‘Download and install’.

Check Via HiCare App: Open the latest version of HiCare (Support)app -> ‘Services’  -> ‘Update’ -> ‘Check for updates’ ->‘Download and install’.
