January 09, 2022:
As we know that due to some well-known reasons, Huawei’s HiSilicon chip has encountered some obstacles in its development in the past two years. Weibo tipster shared a photo called ” Huawei HiSilicon Tianguang 800 chip”. The chip is indeed printed with the HiSilicon logo, but it seems that the text below has been coded.

The word “Tianguang” comes from the Taoist “Zhuangzi Gengsangchu”, the original text is “Yutai Ding, emanating from the sky”, referring to the natural light of wisdom. Guessing from the name, this chip maybe a GPU as of now there is no official information.

Huawei HiSilicon has launched chips in multiple directions. At the end of last year, HiSilicon released the HiSilicon image processing engine (ISP) to achieve the deep integration of image quality technology and AI technology.

At the 3rd China Semiconductor Investment Alliance Annual Conference and China IC Billboard Awards Ceremony, Huawei HiSilicon, Weir Semiconductor, Zhixinwei, Wingtech, UNISOC, ZTE Micro, Yangtze Memory, GigaDevice, Shizuo Lanwei and Changxin Storage ranked in the top ten of “China’s Top 100 Semiconductor Enterprises”.
