Huawei Mate 40 series may launch with 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, 6GB not in the choice

Huawei Mate 40 series is expected to be released in October or November with the next-generation Kirin 9000 chipset. The Mate 40 series is will be equipped with EMUI 11. According to the Tipster Evan Blass, the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 Pro will come with EMUI 11, on the other hand, Huawei Mate 40 may come with a new version of EMUI 10.

Now, another leak suggests that the Huawei Mate 40 will be available in 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB storage variant. This time there will be no 6GB RAM option.

The Huawei Mate 40 series will follow curved-edge screens coupled with in-display fingerprint scanners. The standard model settles for a 6.4-inch display complete with relatively subtle curves, the Pro-branded device goes all-out with a waterfall display that measures in at 6.7-inches.

In both cases, those are coupled with slim bezels and an extra-wide punch hole for the two selfie cameras. The resulting devices measure in at 158.6 x 72.5 x 8.9mm (Mate 40) and 162.8 x 75.5 x 9mm (Mate 40 Pro) excluding the camera bumps.
