Huawei Mate 50: HarmonyOS 3.0 and XMAGE

At the starting of July this year, Huawei introduced a new Imaging tech XMAGE. Huawei promises that the next generation of mobile phones will also bring breakthroughs in imaging. The first phone that is said to be launched with this XMAGE is the Mate 50 series.

The time for the launch of Huawei’s Mate 50 series new products is basically determined, and it is still at the end of August. The finalized version of the Mate 50 Standard and Mate 50 Pro models will bring new things in terms of imaging. At the same time, the devices will be powered with HarmonyOS 3.0.

The developer beta version of Huawei HarmonyOS 3.0 has been launched. The update log shows that this version continues the full-scene smart experience and brings comprehensive improvements in interaction design, multi-device interconnection, performance, and user care.

Among them, the optical system is represented by a number of core technologies, such as multi-camera system, periscope telephoto, free-form surface lens, etc.; imaging technology is an intersection of photoelectric conversion, including RYYB super-sensitive sensor, full-pixel octa-core focusing, 10-channel multispectral sensor, hyperspectral imaging, etc.

Earlier it was said that the Huawei Mate 50 series is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G processor. Compared with the P50 series, the camera has been improved, and it is still at the flagship level. HarmonyOS 3.0 brings more convenient interaction and collaboration capabilities. Huawei Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro uses a rear triple camera design and uses a classic circular rear camera module.
