Huawei Mate 50 series: four models, two processors?

Huawei launched its new operating system, HarmonyOS 3 last month. Now, the HarmonyOS 3-powered Huawei Mate 50 series phones are expected to be released on September 7, 2022.

Huawei is expected to launch four models of the Mate 50 series – Mate 50e, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 RS.

In terms of processors, it is reported that in addition to the Mate 50e equipped with the Snapdragon 778G, all other systems are equipped with the SM8425 (Snapdragon 8 Gen1 4G version) .

Some Weibo tipsters claimed that Mate 50 Pro does not continue the two generations of waterfall screens used by the Mate 30 Pro and Mate 40 Pro.
