Huawei P40 Series Chipset Parameters

The company’s next flagship smartphone, the Huawei P40, and Huawei P40 Pro to be launch at the end of March 2020(Paris). There are only two months left for official launch and number of leaks, rumors had already been available online. Huawei’s P40 series will be equipped with Kirin 990 series chips, but it is unclear whether it will be divided into 5G and non-5G versions like the Mate 30 Pro. The 5G version supports SA and NSA dual-mode 5G without any suspense.

The Kirin 990 5G uses the industry’s most advanced 7nm + EUV process and integrates 5G Modem into the SOC for the first time. The Kirin 990 5G chip uses the Cortex A76 architecture and uses a combination of 2 + 2 + 4. The large-core CPU clocked at 2.86GHz, the medium-core CPU clocked at 2.36GHz, the small-core CPU clocked at 1.95GHz, and the GPU was Mali-G76 MP16.

In addition, Kirin 990 5G is the first to support BWP (Bandwidth Part) technology to achieve flexible switching of bandwidth resources under 5G large bandwidth conditions. Compared with mainstream flagship chips in the industry, 5G power consumption is 44% better. Download speed increased by 19% to achieve a stable 5G connection.

Also, Huawei P40 series will also be equipped with super-fast charging, wireless fast charging, battery capacity has not been disclosed.
