Huawei Petal Maps comes with a New Fire Map Feature for Routes

Huawei’s Petal Maps help us to move to our favorite places. As per the latest version information, the Huawei Petal Maps comes with a new fire map layer for routes, containing data from major wildfires from around the world from 2011 to 2021. (Data not available for certain countries/regions; data availability may vary based on real-world usage.)

You can tap on the layered image to delve deeper into the distribution of wildfires represented in proportion to the size of the icons. In this way, you will be able to identify areas and seasons where forest fires tend to occur.

To enter the fire map on Petal Maps, follow these steps:

  • Tap the layer button on the search screen and select the fire layer.
  • Then tap the timeline at the bottom of the replay screen to see past fires on the map.
  • You can also select a month and a year in the timeline for a more detailed search. (Firemap features will be updated and certain materials will be released in the future.)
