Huawei won a large government cloud order of 287 million yuan

Last August, Huawei CLOUD won two billion-dollar government cloud orders, all of which are single-source purchases. Now, in 2022 year, the Changsha Municipal Affairs Cloud Phase II service procurement project (cloud service part) was announced. Huawei Cloud won this project with a budget of 287 million yuan through a single-source procurement method.

The government cloud is a new market in the field of cloud computing with a “cake” worth 100 billion yuan. The third-party agency IDC reported that the overall market size of government cloud in 2021 will be 42.716 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.47%. The Qianzhan Industry Research Institute predicts that by 2023, the size of China’s government cloud market is expected to reach 149.73 billion yuan.

At the same time, in the layout of this market, the way of entrants is quite different from that in the Internet market. New forces are attacking, old Internet cloud computing companies are transforming, and a new cloud computing market pattern is emerging.

Looking at the announcements of the two major government cloud projects in Changsha and Changping District, Beijing, we can see that the project content is mainly to manage the intensive cloud of the entire city or region, while the services provided by HUAWEI CLOUD cover IaaS, PaaS and other levels.
