Italy said: Huawei will not be discriminated against when entering the 5G market

On April 28, according to foreign media reports, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said that he has assured China Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. that it will not be discriminated against when entering the Italian 5G market.

Conte made this statement during his visit to China. He said that he met Ren Zhengfei, founder and president of Huawei, and expressed his views on this.

“I told him that we have taken some precautions to protect our interests, which requires very high security… This is not only for Huawei, but also for any company that enters the 5G field. ” Conte said.

Huawei’s progress in the EU countries is smoother than in the North American and Australian markets. The European Union decided not to ban Huawei from entering the EU market and handed the decision to all member states.

Subsequently, the German media also revealed that the United States no longer required Germany to ban Huawei from entering the market, and the German regulatory authorities also expressed similar views.

On April 24th, the British media reported that the UK would allow Huawei to enter the UK 5G market within a limited scope, which was also agreed by the British Prime Minister.

With the current Italian statement, basically the major EU member states have been open to Huawei (or limited openness), and the US policy of blocking Huawei is on the verge of bankruptcy.
