Honor Band 5i users recently received a new update with version number 1.0.5.86 (4.54 MB), the update brought up SpO2 feature and Smart Musci Control features.

SpO2, which stands for peripheral capillary oxygen saturation, is an estimate that helps in tracking oxygen saturation levels in the bloodstream. More specifically, it is the percentage of oxygenated hemoglobin (hemoglobin containing oxygen) compared to the total amount of hemoglobin in the blood (oxygenated and non-oxygenated hemoglobin).

The Honor Band 5i SpO2 results in a percentage. If your Band Pulse says 98%, this means that each red blood cell is made up of 98% oxygenated and 2% non-oxygenated hemoglobin. Normal SpO2 values vary between 90 and 100%.

If the value of SpO2 is below 89 percent, then it is considered alarming and might even require medical care. The approximate time is 2 minutes to calculate SpO2.
