AutoNavi Open Platform took the lead in adapting HarmonyOS

At the starting June of this year, Huawei released its self-made OS – HarmonyOS. For your information, Huawei’s HarmonyOS has special requirements for compatibility with Android, if the APP application is developed with the Android API, the developer can directly use the Android SDK. But if the app is developed using the HarmonyOS API, you cannot use the Android SDK and need to use the HarmonyOS version of the SDK.

AutoNavi Open Platform Map SDK takes the lead in implementing functional HarmonyOS migration and refactoring, fully adapting to HarmonyOS , and releasing it for free to all HarmonyOS developers. The first batch of adaptations includes maps and search SDKs , and supports devices such as mobile phones and Pads equipped with HarmonyOS.

According to reports, after adapting to HarmonyOS, developers who have integrated the Android Map SDK of AutoNavi ‘s open platform can seamlessly switch to the HarmonyOS Map SDK without additional development effort . The interface changes between HarmonyOS and the Android system are digested by the AutoNavi Open Platform SDK adaptation layer, and the SDK external interface remains unchanged. AutoNavi’s underlying engine is connected to HarmonyOS NDK, and the upper code is fully connected to HarmonyOS SDK. All system interfaces use HarmonyOS API. In addition, the map SDK adapted to HarmonyOS can be used in conjunction with the existing AutoNavi open platform Web API.

After adapting to HarmonyOS, AutoNavi Map SDK will inherit the features of AutoNavi Open Platform Android/iOS Map SDK. Developers can easily complete the map construction work through the AutoNavi open platform API and SDK, and present the map exquisitely in the application. AutoNavi Map SDK not only provides rich map coverage drawing capabilities, but also supports search, multiple path planning, coordinate conversion, distance measurement, area calculation and other functions.

At the same time, the map SDK after adapting to HarmonyOS still supports the use of peripheral tools such as the custom map SaaS platform. Developers can customize 7 categories of areas, buildings, water systems, sky, roads, labels, and administrative boundaries in the platform. 44 kinds of map elements, flexible design of your favorite map style.

Data shows that AutoNavi’s open platform has provided location services for more than 300,000 mobile applications, serving more than 1.2 billion mobile devices every month, and processing hundreds of billions of requests for positioning and path planning per day. Provide developers with development support covering all platforms such as Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, Web, and applets.
