Canalys is now coming up with the PC shipments details of the Chinese market. According to the report, the total PC shipments in the Chinese mainland market in the second quarter of 2021 decreased by 3% year-on-year, but increased by 13% month-on-month, reaching 19.4 million units.
The report shows that Lenovo has further consolidated its leading position, with a year-on-year growth of 31%, and a 40% market share with shipments of 5.6 million units.
Dell achieved year-on-year growth of 32%, thanks to the substantial growth of its desktops and workstations. Both HP and Asus have risen in the rankings due to the decline of Huawei, ranking third and fourth respectively. However, HP’s shipments fell 3% year-on-year to 1.1 million units, while Asustek’s shipments increased by 25% year-on-year to 900,000 units.
Huawei ranked fifth after shipments plummeted by 64% year-on-year.
