EMUI Tip: Try this if your phone fails to update

Welcome to the Huawei Update’s Tips and Tricks section, In this tutorial, we will check what to do if your phone fails to update (EMUI 9, EMUI 10). Check the complete steps below.

Delete/Clear the software update data:

• Open Settings, and search for -> Apps.
• Touch 3 dot icons in the upper right corner, and enable Show system processes.
• In the search bar, search -> Software update
• Go to Storage > Clear data.

For versions earlier than EMUI 9.0, search for System update instead. Make sure that your phone is connected with a proper Internet connection, and go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for updates. Follow the on-screen instructions to download the update package again and then update your phone.
