Honor 10 Lite receiving Huawei Assistant update along with current month security patch

Honor 10 Lite smartphone users received the October 2020 security patch recently and on the same security patch now the company has started rolling out Huawei Assistant update in India. The latest software update comes with version number EMUI 10.0.0.225 and the update package is 339MB. Check the changelog below.

This update improves system security with Android security patches.

Adds Huawei Assistant to the home screen, providing smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you.

Integrates Android security patches released in August 2020 for improved system security.

Notes:

• Ensure that your device has 50% of battery backup before downloading or installing the package.
• Use WiFi/mobile data to download the package.
• This update rollout process will take some time to reach all the devices. So please be patient.
• This update is only for Honor 10 Lite Indian variant HRY: ALOO.
• This update will not erase your data but I recommend you backup your important data before proceeding.

If you haven’t received a notification yet, check for the OTA update in Settings manually, just tap on the Setting option in your smartphone, Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates > Download and install.

You can also update using the Suppor app. Open the app, go to HiCare (Support)> Update > Check for updates.
