Honor 8X Max latest update brings HMS Core support and 03-20 patch

Honor has started rolling out the March 2020 security patch and HMS core support update for the Honor 8X Max smartphone users in China. The latest update is based on EMUI 9.1 and comes with software version 9.1.0.170. The base version required for this upgrade is 9.1.0.165.

The Honor 8X Max update size is 284MB, the version is pushed in batches. Users who have not received it yet please wait patiently.

Integrates Android security patches released in March 2020 for improved system security.

Install/download it via your phone setting, tap on Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates > Download and install.

Or download Honor 8X Max EMUI 9.1.0.170 update via HiCare (Support) App:  HiCare app -> ‘Services’ -> ‘Update’ >‘Check for updates’ -> ‘Download and install’
