Huawei announced a patent for a foldable device

Huawei has applied to the State Intellectual Property Office for an invention patent for “a foldable terminal device” in 2019, which was published on January 29, 2021. The patent content describes a foldable terminal device, which is divided into multiple components, including a foldable flexible panel, a first support member, a second support member, and a connecting mechanism.

The flexible panel includes a first display area, a second display area, and a bending area. The bending area is located between the first display area and the second display area.

Huawei currently has two folding mobile phones on sale, and the third folding screen mobile phone Huawei Mate X2 is also expected to be launched within this year. It is worth mentioning that this is the third “a foldable terminal device” invention patent disclosed by Huawei.
