Huawei drive motor installed in Bestune E05 EV car

Bestune aka Besturn, is a brand under FAW. A few days ago, the new car declaration catalog of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it shows the MPV model of FAW Besturn. The drive motor is provided by “Huawei Technology Co., Ltd.” with a maximum power of 120kW. The BYD Song Plus EV that has been unveiled before also uses Huawei’s drive motor.

It can be seen from the declaration information that the car is named “FAW Besturn E05”, and the shape of the car is somewhat similar to the previous “D1” model jointly created by BYD and Didi. Chinese brands are finally looking for ways to use the advantages of an EV platform in design: an electric car doesn’t have to look like a traditional car. The Bestune E05 is similar in concept to the recently launched BYD D1.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4450/1840/1680mm, wheelbase is 2850mm, and the rear window glass is designed with privacy glass.

The E05 has a short front, the wheels are way into the corners, and the rear is just brilliantly different. There is a sliding door on the right and a normal door on the left. Power comes from a 190 hp / 320 NM electric motor mated to a 61 kWh battery, good for a 450 km NEDC range.
