Huawei investment in automotive research and development will reach 1 billion U.S. dollars this year

On April 18, Huawei’s smart car solution 2021 new product launch event opened at the Shanghai Auto Show, at event Huawei presenting new concepts, new products, and new technologies that emerged in the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry, bringing brand new products to users Smart car driving experience.

In addition, Huawei also announced the establishment of partnerships with more than two hundred car company partners in the industry and launched five new products, such as Harmony car operating system, smart car, etc., covering smart cockpits, computing platforms, radars, autonomous driving open platforms, and management system.

Wang Jun, President of Huawei Smart Car Solutions BU, said at the meeting: Huawei will continue to increase investment in the automotive industry. This year’s investment in research and development will reach 1 billion U.S. dollars. The research and development team will exceed 5,000, of which more than 2,000 are autonomous driving.
