Huawei P40 Lite receiving May 2022 security update in Europe

The P40 Lite, Huawei’s P40 series smartphone that was powered by a Kirin 820 5G (ARM Cortex-A76 cores with a maximum of 2.36 gigahertz and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores that reach up to 1.8 gigahertz) processor, is joining the ranks of many other Huawei smartphones that have received the May 2022 security update. The Nova 7 SE, Nova 7 SE 5G Vitality Edition, and other Huawei devices have already received a similar update, and the Huawei P40 Lite is now joining the party.

A new firmware, with version number 12.0.0.231, is rolling out to the Huawei Huawei P40 Lite in Europe, and it should make its way to other markets soon. Other than the latest security fixes, the update brings no changes to the device.
