Huawei plans to launch HarmonyOS native apps in 2024

Huawei’s Richard Yu has recently confirmed the launch of its new products as top-notch, groundbreaking, and “game-changers”. During the event, Yu also mentioned that Huawei plans to launch native apps and products using its self-developed mobile platform, HarmonyOS, next year.

Alibaba’s fintech affiliate, Ant Group, is reportedly making a version of its mobile payment app, Alipay, for HarmonyOS. Additionally, the China unit of McDonald’s has joined Huawei’s HarmonyOS platform.

Alibaba is working on a new version of its workplace collaboration app, DingTalk, to make it compatible with HarmonyOS. Huawei plans to release a developer preview of HarmonyOS Next in the first quarter of 2024.
