Huawei has applied for a new patent titled “autonomous driving navigation method, device, system, vehicle terminal, and server” which is now authorized, and the publication number is CN108027242B.
The patent specification stated that, in the existing automatic driving navigation method, 64-line lidar and 3D high-precision map are used to realize vehicle positioning and navigation. However, the above-mentioned prior art has at least the following problems:
(1) 64-line lidar has high requirements for environmental conditions, and its detection effect under severe weather such as rain, snow, haze, etc. will be seriously affected, so all-weather positioning and navigation cannot be achieved.
(2) Fixed objects such as buildings and landmarks in the actual environment will change from time to time. If the images stored in the 3D high-precision map are not updated in time, the positioning accuracy will be affected.
The patent summary shows that the present invention uses satellite differential positioning technology based on wireless network assistance to realize all-weather and all-road conditions automatic driving navigation, and the positioning accuracy does not need to rely on 3D high-precision maps, and the solution is adaptable and reliable.
