Huawei releases smart oil and gas field solutions

In Abu Dhabi, Huawei Global Oil and Gas Summit was held. At this summit, Huawei released the “Huawei Smart Oil and Gas Field Solution”, which includes multiple functional modules such as park security, production inspection, predictive maintenance, etc.

According to the information, Huawei’s smart oil and gas field solution architecture includes four levels: industrial terminals, IoT networks, digital platforms, and smart applications. Based on the solution architecture, Huawei will continue to enhance digital platforms and production service applications, realize data interconnection through the Internet of Things, drive flat management reforms, and help the oil and gas industry better deal with high-risk and high-cost challenges.

At the meeting, Huawei also demonstrated the full-scenario solutions based on upstream exploration and development and production, midstream pipeline asset management, downstream refining and chemical sales, and Huawei’s technical capabilities.

Wu Shuhong, Secretary of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of PetroChina, and Deng Xili, Director of Geological and Reservoir Research Expert of PetroChina Exploration and Development Research Institute, shared that through the use of technologies such as “Cloud + AI + Big Data” in Huawei’s smart exploration solutions, earthquakes can be carried out faster and more accurately Data processing, oil and gas reservoir identification, and pumping well condition diagnosis, etc., will find more value from “silent data” and “useless data”.

According to Zhang Tiegang, former deputy chief engineer of the Exploration and Development Research Institute of Daqing Oilfield Company, by using Huawei’s cloud computing capabilities, Daqing Oilfield will process more than 22,000 square kilometers of seismic data in 2020, which is more than twice the original data processing capacity.
