Huawei has now announced a new upgrade of Huawei’s home storage, the industry’s exclusive first-ever “application data backup” function. The “Application Data Backup” function can support full backup of WeChat chat records including text, photos, videos, and file data, and can restore designated backup records with one click, which is convenient and safe.
Huawei Home Storage will be released in 2022 and is Huawei’s first HarmonyOS home data center. Currently, the 4TB, 16TB, and diskless versions are 2,599 yuan, 4,599 yuan, and 1,799 yuan respectively.
Huawei’s home storage plays an important part in Huawei’s 1+8+N strategy. It can interconnect with other devices to achieve fast and convenient data access and transfer.
It is reported that the “Application Data Backup” function needs to be used with HarmonyOS 4.2. Mobile phones/tablets equipped with HarmonyOS 4.2 and above can back up WeChat data to the NAS, and WeChat data can be restored at any time when necessary.
