Huawei takes the lead in the Chinese market in Q3 2023 [Foldable]

According to the latest report from the market research firm Counterpoint Research. In Q3 2023, smartphone sales in China declined 3% YoY in a sign the market could be closer to bottoming out. Huawei was the big winner, growing 37% YoY on the back of the newly launched Mate 60 series, which is powered by its SoC Kirin 9000S.

China’s top five smartphone manufacturers in the third quarter of 2023

1. Honor – 19.3%
2. OPPO – 16.2%
3. Apple – 16%
4. Vivo – 15.7%
5. Xiaomi – 13.5%

Top five folding phone market shares in the third quarters of 2023

1. Huawei – 31.7%
2. OPPO – 17.9%
3. Samsung – 15.4%
4. Honor – 15.1%
5. Vivo – 12.7%
