Report: Huawei invested 4 billion into the Xiangmihu area in Shenzhen to build Huawei digital energy headquarters

According to the Securities Times report, Huawei invested 4 billion into the Xiangmihu area in Shenzhen, where it will build Huawei’s digital energy headquarters and R&D base.

On February 17, Shenzhen launched a number of new projects, involving major infrastructure projects, major technology, and industrial projects, major livelihood projects, etc., with a total investment of about 235.47 billion yuan, and a planned investment of about 44.39 billion yuan in 2022, involving 11 companies, including Huawei.

It is understood that the newly signed Huawei Digital Energy Headquarters and R&D Base project in Xiangmihu, Futian District, with a total investment of 4 billion yuan, will mainly carry out research and development of online energy measurement technology, new energy technology research and development, and energy recovery system research and development after completion.

As early as June 2021 , Huawei registered a new energy company, Huawei Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd., in the Futian Antuoshan Headquarters Building , with a registered capital of 3 billion, Huawei wholly-owned shares, and chairman Hu Houkun (Huawei’s rotating chairman).

The newly established Huawei Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd. mainly involves the research and development of line energy metering technology, emerging energy technology research and development, energy recovery system research and development, electromechanical coupling system research and development, new energy vehicle electrical accessories, charging piles, plug-in hybrid special engines, new energy Sales of equipment and facilities such as automobile power exchange facilities and batteries.
