WhatsApp Dark Mode Live, Check how to enable it

As of March 3, 2020, WhatsApp has officially confirmed the rollout of dark mode for all users including Android & iOS. In recent times, dark mode became the most demanded feature among WhatsApp users.

Whatsapp Dark Mode is useful for smartphones with an AMOLED display, this should save the battery. Also, you can now enjoy your night chats.

If you are using devices running Android 9 or iOS 12, you can enable WhatsApp dark mode through an option that should now be present in your WhatsApp app settings. Now, you have the choice between the light and dark theme.

Whatsapp dark mode is specially designed for these two reasons:

Readability: When choosing colors, we wanted to minimize eye fatigue and use colors that are closer to the system defaults on iPhone and Android respectively.

Information Hierarchy: Users easily focus their attention on each screen. WhatsApp did this by using color and other design elements to make sure the most important information stands out.

How to enable dark mode in WhatsApp:

1. Open WhatsApp from the app drawer or home screen.
2. Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
3. Click Settings.
4. Select Chats.
5. Choose Themes.
6. In the Choose Theme box, select Dark.
7. All Done.
