WhatsApp gets new Web Search button in 2.20.94 beta
WhatsApp for Android will soon get another new button in the chats. The upcoming update will allow users to search for a specific term/text/message on the web.
For now, this web search feature (as shown in the image below) is under development. After tapping the icon, WhatsApp will ask if you want to upload the message on Google, so you can see if it contains fake news.
As is so often the case, it is not clear when this early-discovered innovation will actually be found in the Android app for all users. It may take weeks, months, or even a year.
