Bruce Lee: Huawei P50 overcomes encryption problems and can copy 90% access control cards

Nowadays, many mobile phones equipped with NFC function have introduced this feature, so that the door/unit door of the community, the interior door of office building, etc. can be easily opened with the help of mobile phones.

However, the access control cards on the market are not exactly one type. Usually, the easiest to simulate a mobile phone is an ID card without encryption (13.56MHz frequency band), and for the access control card with an encryption field when writing the card, it is often powerless, or Even if it prompts that the simulation is successful, the card cannot be swiped normally.

According to Bruce Lee, president of Huawei’s flagship mobile phone product line, the P50 series can now copy more than 90% of access control cards. The team focused on solving the problem of difficulty in copying encrypted cards this time.

He said that Huawei began to provide analog access control card functions four years ago, but in the past, less than half of the products can be simulated successfully, mainly because they can only copy non-encrypted NFC cards or use the default secret key.
