December 2020 security patch now available for the Huawei Nova 5

Huawei has recently started distributing last month security patch update for the Huawei Nova 5z, and Nova 5i Pro with the software version 10.1.0.96. Now the December 2020 security patch update is available for the Huawei Nova 5 with the same firmware version. According to the security patch, the new build doesn’t carry any significant new feature except the obvious bump in the Android security patch level (SPL).  As usual, this month includes plenty of security patches, including a handful of “high” and “critical” severity ones.

How to update?

Go to Settings ->  ‘System & updates’ ->  ‘Software update’ -> ‘Check for updates’ -> ‘Download and install’.

You can also update via the Support app. Go to Support App-> Services -> Update > Check for updates. (Get the latest version of the app.)
