HarmonyOS Native Applications: 5000 applications emerged

According to Huawei’s official public account ” HarmonyOS Developer”, at the “Thousands of Sails Competing in Beijing” Beijing HarmonyOS Ecosystem Partner Conference on August 6, a number of leading central enterprises and state-owned enterprises (referred to as “central state-owned enterprises”) announced the launch of HarmonyOS native application development for internal office applications, including Guotou Human Resources Service Co., Ltd., Shougang Group Co., Ltd., Bank of Beijing Co., Ltd., Beijing BG Digital Technology Co., Ltd., etc.

Based on the innovative features of HarmonyOS NEXT’s native interconnection, multiple terminals can be deployed at one time. Mobile phones, tablets, and smart screens can all share one system to achieve cross-device mutual assistance and collaboration. For example, files annotated and modified by users on the computer can be synchronized seamlessly on the mobile phone , or the screen can be cast to the smart screen for collaborative modification with other colleagues.

Huawei officially stated that HarmonyOS NEXT has achieved technological innovation from personal single-device security, multi-device security to multi-person and multi-device collaborative security, and introduced system-level file encryption.

At the Huawei Developer Conference 2024 held in June this year, Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s executive director, chairman of the Terminal BG, and chairman of the Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, announced that Hongmeng native applications have entered a full sprint stage. All TOP 5000 applications have been launched , meeting 99.9% of user usage time. More than 1,500 applications have been put on the shelves, covering all 18 fields.

In Q4 of this year, HarmonyOS NEXT will officially start commercial use of mobile phones, tablets and other products, and at the same time launch Betas of smart watches, smart screens, etc.
