Huawei Mate 20 Pro grabbing May 2022 security update

Huawei has kicked off the May 2022 EMUI update for its selected devices. Now, the company has started pushing out the same update for the Mate 20 Pro in the global market. The all-new update contains only a security patch and the firmware version will be identified as EMUI 12.0.0.142.

Notes on updating:
1. Your personal data will not be deleted by the update. However, we recommend that you back up important data before updating.
2. If you encounter problems during the update, call the Huawei customer service line or visit a Huawei customer service center.
3. Your system ringtones may change after installing this update. Go to Settings> Sounds to set new ringtones.

HOW TO UPDATE:
The latest update rolling out via Support App. Also, you can follow the below steps,

Via Support: Open app -> Services Tab -> Update -> CHECK FOR UPDATES -> Download and install.

Via Settings: Open System Settings -> System -> Software update -> CHECK FOR UPDATES -> Download and install.
