Huawei Nova 5i getting December 2020 security update [CN]

Huawei has started distributing December 2020 security patch update for Nova 5i smartphone users in China. The latest software version gets build number 10.0.0.130. Apart from the security patch, there are no other changes. The same patch update was rolled out recently for the Huawei Nova 5z and Nova 5i Pro smartphone users with different firmware versions.

According to the security patch, the new build doesn’t carry any significant new feature except the obvious bump in the Android security patch level (SPL).  As usual, this month includes plenty of security patches, including a handful of “high” and “critical” severity ones.

Huawei Nova 5i smartphone runs on Android 9 pie operating system (Upgradable). This smartphone is powered by Octa core (2.2 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A73 + 1.7 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) processor and the device inside gets a HiSilicon Kirin 710 Chipset. The Nova 5i has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

As far as the camera concern the buyers get a 24 MP Front Camera and on the rear, there’s a 24+8+2+2 MP camera with features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus. It is backed by a 4000 mAh battery.

How to download EMUI 10?

Download from your system settings option: Tap on Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates and Download it!

Download from Support App: Go to Support app > Services ->Update > Check for updates.
