Huawei patents a smartphone with attachable zoom lens
Huawei has now patented a new smartphone design with an attachable zoom lens at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). According to the patent, the smartphone uses a waterdrop notch, volume buttons in the side, and lenses at the back.
In the company’s latest list Huawei P40 Pro+ has the best zooming capability. It uses up to two telephoto lenses, one that has a 10x zoom sensor in optical format. The second telephoto camera has a 3x optical zoom. The combination of both allows a 20x hybrid zoom and a digital zoom of up to 100x.
