Huawei ranked 1st in the list of PCT patent applications by companies worldwide

According to data released by the World Intellectual Property Organization, from 2017 to 2019, Huawei has been ranked first in the number of PCT patent applications by enterprises worldwide for three consecutive years.

As per the report, 13 Chinese companies entered the top 50 global PCT patent applications in 2019, and 4 Chinese companies entered the top 10 global PCT patent applications in 2019.

A report of the State Intellectual Property Office of China, in 2019 shows that China submitted 58,900 patent applications through the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), surpassing 57,84 thousand patent applications in the United States.
