Huawei Mate XT
Huawei is finding major success with its new Pura X Max foldable, but the company isn’t stopping there. According to a new rumor, the tech giant plans to launch at least two more foldable devices before the year ends.
Well-known Weibo leaker DigitalChatStation reports that Huawei has now covered nearly every design in the foldable smartphone market. The company already makes flip phones, traditional book-style foldables, and even highly advanced tri-fold devices.
Because of this, Huawei reportedly won’t experiment with entirely new form factors for the rest of 2026. Instead, the company wants to focus on refining its current designs to make them more practical and reliable for everyday use. Following the launch of the smaller Pura X and the massive Pura X Max, Huawei will spend the upcoming months updating its existing product lines.
The report notes that the next two foldable devices on Huawei’s schedule are a new standard Mate X book-style phone and the Mate XT 2 tri-fold smartphone.
Interestingly, the tipster also mentioned Huawei’s main competitor, Samsung. The leak suggests that Samsung might step back from developing its own tri-fold devices if its upcoming models fail to sell well. Huawei, on the other hand, seems fully committed to pushing forward with regular upgrades for its triple-folding hardware.
