Huawei Watch Fit 5
Huawei recently hosted its major global product launch event, bringing a fresh wave of consumer hardware to international markets. The lineup features the new headline wearable series, a luxury diamond-accented timepiece, and a premium productivity tablet. These devices show the clear focus of the company on mixing fashion with advanced everyday technology.
The main highlight of the global announcement is the Huawei Watch Fit 5 series. This updated wearable family consists of a standard model and a premium Pro version. Both devices move away from traditional circular watch faces, opting for a sleek, square body style with a rotating crown button on the right side.
The hardware brings substantial improvements over older models. The standard variant features a bright 1.82-inch screen, while the Pro model bumps the screen size up to a .92-inch display protected by sapphire glass. This premium display can reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making it incredibly easy to view under direct sunlight. To save battery, the display utilizes an adaptive refresh rate that can scale down all the way to 1Hz when the watch is idle.
A major new addition for international buyers is the inclusion of contactless payment support. The company teamed up with a digital wallet platform to allow users to tap their wrist to pay at payment terminals. For safety, the watch automatically locks behind a passcode the moment it detects that it has been removed from the wrist of the user.
The battery life remains a strong point for the company. Users can expect up to 10 days of power with light usage, or roughly 7 days under normal, everyday operation. The standard version starts at roughly 160 British pounds, while the Pro variant sits at 250 British pounds.

Alongside the fitness wearables, the company also unveiled ultra-premium hardware options. The most notable is a luxury spring edition timepiece that features actual diamond inserts and holds a massive price tag of nearly 4,750 dollars. For runners, the company introduced a special edition running watch co-created alongside marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, featuring a dedicated training dashboard.
Finally, the company expanded its productivity lineup with the global launch of a new premium tablet. The device features a massive 13.2-inch flexible OLED display. This panel uses a special paper-like texture to cut down on harsh reflections and make stylus writing feel more natural. Despite the large screen size, the tablet remains incredibly portable, weighing just 499 grams and measuring an ultra-thin 4.7 millimeters thick. The new devices are rolling out to retail shelves immediately.
