[U: Ghana] Huawei Y9s stable EMUI 12 update

Update 2: October 22, 2022 – Huawei has now started rolling out the stable EMUI 12 update for the Huawei Y9s smartphone in Ghana.

Update 1: September 20, 2022: In August 2022, the Huawei Y9s began receiving the stable EMUI 12 update in North America which arrived with the new firmware version 12.0.0.225. The all-new EMUI 12 update brings several new features including an intuitive interface, a cross-device control panel, and various useful features.

Now, according to the information, the South Asia units of the Huawei Y9s are now getting the stable EMUI 12 update with the same firmware version EMUI 12.0.0.225 (upgrading from 10.0.0.485). The latest update size is 3.89GB.

What’s new in EMUI 12

Huawei’s latest EMUI 12 brings a new user interface. With the all-new Control Panel, you can access the most commonly used settings by swiping down.

Quickly and easily manage your audio files, Bluetooth devices, and Wi-Fi networks. You will also find shortcut switches and seamless switching between devices with Device + Smart Collaboration.

Using the Control Panel, you can easily transfer audio from your phone to wireless headphones, video to a larger smart screen, messages and calls to your tablet, or view and edit photos and other files from your phone on your laptop.
