Multi Device control panel and Picture-in-Picture camera preview update rolling to Huawei Nova 7 Series

Huawei has started rolling out a new software update for the Huawei Nova 7 series (Nova 7 SE, Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro) smartphone users. The latest update is based on EMUI 10.1 and comes with a version number 10.1.1.162. This update brings Multi-device control panel, Picture-in-Picture camera preview mode, June 2020 security patch, and optimizes calls, audio, display, and system. Check the changelog below.

Multi-Device Control Panel:

Allows you to connect to your devices more easily by using the Multi-Device Control Panel, such as when connecting to your audio input or output device during music and video playback. Swipe up from the left or right of the bottom edge when the screen is unlocked to access the Multi-Device Control Panel. Go to Settings> More connections> Multi-Device Collaboration to try it out.

Adds a Picture-in-Picture preview frame in the viewfinder to help you focus.

Calls:

Optimizes calls experience.

System:

Optimizes system for Smart Split screen.

Optimizes display effect and icons.

Application:

Optimizes the compatibility of third-party applications.

Security:

Integrated Android security patches released in June 2020 for improved system security.

This update is rolling out in China.

To download this update, First check if you haven’t received a notification yet, check for the OTA update in Settings manually, just tap on the Setting option in your smartphone, Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates > Download and install.

You can also update using the Support app. Open the app, go to  Support app> Services>Update> Check for Updates> Download & Install. (Get the latest version of the Support app).
