February 2021 security update rolling out to Huawei Nova 5i Pro, Nova 5 and Nova 5z

Huawei has started rolling out the first February 2021 security patch update to the Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5z and Nova 5i Pro smartphone users in China. The Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5z and Nova 5i Pro smartphone users getting the February 2021 patch update based on EMUI 10.1 and it comes with software version 10.1.0.98.

The February 2021 security patch update includes 2 Critical, 26 High levels, and 77 Medium levels of CVE’s. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) system tracks publicly known security vulnerabilities and exposures in publicly released software packages.

Huawei Nova 5 smartphone has an OLED display. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 403 ppi pixel density. On the camera front, the buyers get a 32 MP Front Camera and on the rear, there’s a 48+16+2+2 MP camera with features like 6 x Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus. It is backed by a 3500 mAh battery.

The nova 5i Pro has a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display, 2340x1080px resolution, a 7nm Kirin 810 chipset, Android 9.0 Pie, and a 4,000mAh battery. There are four cameras on the rear and single at the front. The quad-camera is comprised of a 48MP f/1.8 Sony IMX586 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide module, 2MP Super Macro unit, and a final 2MP depth sensor.

For the selfie, there is a 32MP f/2.0 front-facing camera. The 4,000mAh battery supports 20W wired charging that can top up 50% in 30 minutes.
