Honor 9 getting EMUI 9.1.0.225 update with Screen sharing and Smart charging mode

Honor has started rolling out a new update for the Honor 9 smartphone users in China. The latest update brings May 2020 security patch update, Screen Sharing, and Smart charging mode for battery use. It comes with a version number 9.1.0.225 and 3.21 GB in size. Before upgrading make sure your smartphone is connected with a proper internet connection.

Honor 9: STF-AL00, STF-AL10 & STF-TL10.

Version Update: EMUI 9.1.0.219 -> EMUI 9.1.0.225

Screen Sharing:

Enables you to share your current screen for easier communication during video calls. You can also write and draw on the screen as if talking to face to face with the other party.

Smart Charging:

Reserves battery health by adapting to your charging routine. Charging may be paused to delay charging your device to 100% (Full) until you need it. Huawei Smart Charge Mode Protects the battery from aging during overnight charging.

Activate Smart Charge: Go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings > Smart Charge.

Security:
Integrated Android security patches released in May 2020 for improved system security.

How to check the latest update?

Check (v9.1.0.225) from your phone settings option: Go to the Settings -> ‘System’ -> ‘Software update’ -> ‘Check for updates’ -> ‘Download and install’.

Check Via HiCare App: Open the latest version of HiCare (Support)app -> ‘Services’  -> ‘Update’ -> ‘Check for updates’ ->‘Download and install’.
