According to the official news, Huawei and China Telecom jointly held a “super time-frequency folding” 5G-Advanced innovative technology conference and demonstrated the relevant technical laboratory test verification results.
According to the official introduction, Super Time-Frequency Folding, as the latest member of the Super Series innovative technology family, simulates the FDD air interface through TDD dual-carrier uplink and downlink time domain complementarity and combines the advantages of TDD’s large bandwidth with the “0-wait” delay advantage of FDD air interface.
The super time-frequency folding is based on the 3.5G Hz frequency band, the uplink equivalent bandwidth is as high as 100M Hz, and the uplink peak rate of more than 1Gbps can be achieved. At the same time, the end-to-end delay is shortened from 10ms to less than 4ms .
In the millimeter-wave band, the delay can be further reduced to less than 1ms. Super Time-Frequency Folding integrates large uplink bandwidth, low latency, high reliability, and super-capacity network capabilities. One network for multiple networks can better meet the extreme performance requirements of the industry’s core production links for 5G networks.
