To prove Huawei Safety European 5G equipment to be made in Europe

Huawei executive said on Tuesday that the company will establish a manufacturing base in Europe to allow 5G equipment to be “made in Europe.” The move was seen as an effort by Huawei to free EU countries from pressure from the United States, as the US government is putting pressure on EU countries to stop using 5G equipment from Huawei in Europe.

“A Huawei is more committed to Europe than ever before,” said Abraham Liu, a senior executive with Huawei’s European operations at a Chinese New Year reception in Brussels.

“This is why we decided to establish a manufacturing base in Europe so that we can really have 5G made in Europe,” Liu Kang said.

Before the publication of this EU policy guideline, the British government, based on its own national development interests and despite the pressure of the United States government, has made a decision to accept Huawei, allowing Huawei to participate in the UK’s 5G network construction to a limited extent.

Establishing a 5G equipment production plant in Europe will help eliminate EU concerns about Huawei’s security. According to Huawei, the company employs 13,000 people in 12 European countries and has two regional business centers and 23 R & D centers.
