UK decides to allow Huawei in 5G network construction

In a recent interview, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: Britain can safeguard its national security interests while enjoying technological progress. As for whether Huawei can participate in the construction of 5G networks in Britain, the British government will make a final decision on January 28. Now, here is the decision.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed after the meeting that Huawei will allow limited participation in the construction of 5G networks in the UK. Britain excludes Huawei from “security-related” and “security-critical” network construction.

It is reported that Huawei can only participate in the construction of peripheral networks, with a market share of up to 35%.

A senior European Union (EU) official revealed that the EU will not ban Huawei from doing business in Europe, but will formulate “strict” rules on this.
