Huawei publishes folding screen control patent

Huawei has published a patent on “A control method and electronic device for an electronic device with a folding screen” on December 14. The patent information indicates that the method includes the electronic device receiving the user’s folding operation of the folding screen, and obtaining the original parameters of the folding screen in real-time, including the angle between the first screen and the second screen, the folding speed, the folding direction, and the folding acceleration, etc.

The electronic device executes the corresponding function according to the original parameters obtained in real-time. When the parameters are different, the degree of executing the corresponding function is also different.

According to Huawei’s official account, Huawei will hold the Huawei Winter flagship new product launch conference on December 23, with the theme “Light and shadow intertwined, symbiosis of all things”.

The poster shows that the new phone is called Huawei P50 Pocket, which may be a folding-screen phone, which will adopt a vertical folding design.
