Huawei’s next-gen foldable phone may launch in February 2022

Huawei has a few foldable smartphones on its portfolio including the Mate X, Mate Xs, and the Mate X2. Now, according to the information, Huawei is set to bring a new foldable smartphone in February next year. This report is coming up from the Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station that Huawei is expected to follow its usual timeframe of launching a new Mate X-series foldable smartphone in the month of February.

In the same year, the Huawei Mate 50 Series is also expected to be released. Further, the report adds that the company is currently testing the under-display fingerprint sensor and the OLED screen for the next generation of foldable smartphones. The phone is expected to come with a POL-LESS OLED technology which is developed by Samsung Display, which could increase the brightness by 20 percent to 30 percent.

Mate X2

If we trust the rumors then the company is also working on another foldable smartphone that will come with a clamshell design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3. The phone, which could be named Huawei Mate V, is said to come powered by the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chipset and will be a 4G model.
