Huawei developer conference postponed due to pneumonia

Huawei has decided to postpone the Huawei Developer Conference originally scheduled to be held in February until the end of March considering the current situation of new pneumonia.

Huawei said on January 23 that based on the prevention and control of the pneumonia situation of new coronavirus infection, the Huawei Developer Conference 2020 (Cloud), which was originally planned to be held in Shenzhen from February 11 to 12, will be postponed to March 27-28.

Huawei Developer Conference 2020 (Cloud) is Huawei’s annual top flagship event for developers worldwide in the ICT (Information and Communications) field.

The conference aims to build a global communication and practice platform, Huawei’s accumulated ICT technology and capabilities over the past 30 years, and use the “Kunpeng + Shengteng” dual engines to provide developers with the possibility of changing the world.

Chinese health authorities announced Thursday that 571 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) had been reported in 25 provincial-level regions in the country by the end of Wednesday, according to Xinhua News Agency.

A total of 393 suspected cases have been reported, according to the National Health Commission (NHC).
