Huawei DriveONE: Dual-motor drive enables the acceleration of 100 kilometers to reach the level of 4 second

According to the “Huawei Digital Energy” WeChat account, the new high-end smart car brand AITO was officially released. It is worth noting that AITO’s first model M5 is equipped with the Huawei DriveONE power domain solution. As per the information, the front asynchronous and rear synchronous dual-motor drive enables the acceleration of 100 kilometers to reach the level of 4 seconds. Huawei said that DriveONE is currently installed on mid-to-high-end models from more than a dozen mainstream automakers.
Huawei’s DriveONE full-stack power domain solution includes electric drive systems, onboard integrated power supplies and battery management systems. This system includes core components such as motors, MCUs, PDUs, OBC, DC/DC, reducers, and AI BMS.
Compared with the industry’s water-cooled motors, Huawei uses high-speed oil-cooled motors. Under the same power and torque, the volume and weight of the three-in-one electric drive can be reduced by 10% ; the rotor and stator of the motor are immersed and cooled to reduce the average peak winding temperature by 30°C.
According to Huawei, it has formed a team of first-class experts in the field of NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness). Through a self-developed multi-objective optimization software platform, parametric modeling and AI algorithms are applied to find the optimal solution for NVH design. The error of the assisted simulation result is less than 5%.
Meanwhile, Huawei DriveONE on-board charging system supports V2L + V2V 3.5kVA reverse power supply function, V2L (Vehicle to Load), that is, reverse power supply function. V2L can realize the external output of 220V 50Hz household AC power from electric vehicles, which can support camp mode, Scenes such as emergency rescue and power supply. V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) enables electric vehicles to be charged to other electric vehicles and can solve the problem of electric vehicle recharge in scenarios where charging facilities are inconvenient.
