Huawei HiSilicon new TV chip announced

According to the official information, Huawei HiSilicon’s official website announced a fully self-developed high-definition TV chip Hi373V110. The company says, this is an analog TV (ATV) main processing chip that supports various global standards, built-in HiSilicon’s self-developed RISC-V CPU, and uses the LiteOS operating system with fast startup speed.

Among them, the CPU is 32-bit and self-developed core. Other features include support for NTSC/PAL/SECAM standard demodulation, support for USB playback, support for mainstream video formats including MPGE2, H.264, H.265, RMVB, etc.

Support for mainstream audio decoding and sound effect processing, and SWS developed by HiSilicon Audio processing, support CVBS/YPbPr/VGA/HDMI 1.4 input, sealed DDR memory, support LVDS and miniLVDS interface, support mainstream Tconless screen.

It is understood that RISC-V has become the third-largest CPU architecture on the rise. Although it is a streamlined instruction set like ARM, it is characterized by free and open source.

At present, the latest CPU core P650 performance index of the leading RISC-V company SiFive has been able to match the ARM A77. In addition to the rapid growth in the IoT, car driving and other fields, RISC-V has also begun to expand into the high-performance computing and even mobile phone fields.
