Huawei: openEuler operating system will be newly released on September 25

According to the latest information, in the next 2 days, Huawei will launch a new operating system openEuler. A few days ago, Ren Zhengfei said that Euler is making great strides forward. Euler’s positioning is to target the operating system and ecological base of the national digital infrastructure and undertake the historical mission of supporting the construction of a leading, reliable and safe digital foundation.

openEuler is an open-source and free Linux distribution platform that will build an open, diverse, and architecturally inclusive software ecosystem through an open community with developers around the world. At the same time, openEuler is also an innovative platform, encouraging anyone to put forward new ideas, develop new ideas, and practice new solutions on this platform.

Back in September 18, 2019, Huawei announced that openEuler was open source, and the openEuler open source community was officially launched. openEuler hopes to build an innovative platform through community cooperation, build a multi-processor architecture, a unified and open operating system, and promote the prosperity and development of the software and hardware application ecosystem.

On December 31, 2019, the openEuler open-source code went online. On March 27, 2020, the openEuler open source community officially released the openEuler LTS 20.03 (Long Term Support) version. This indicates that openEuler has mature large-scale commercial capabilities.
