Huawei releases Self-developed Distributed Database GaussDB
During the Huawei Global Smart Finance Summit, Huawei Executive Director and Huawei Cloud CEO Zhang Pingan officially stated that the financial digital transformation is from centralized to distributed, and the new distributed core must achieve high performance, large scale, and high availability.
According to reports, Huawei began to develop its own in-memory database in 2001. In 2011, the product was named GaussDB, and it was officially launched in 2019. In 2021, Huawei’s internal core system completed full-stack independent innovation. It has been launched on a large scale, and a new generation of distributed database will be launched in 2023.
